Anyone requesting utility service from the City of Custer is required to make a deposit.

Deposits are refunded when the customer is no longer on city service. If a delinquent account balance is left then the deposit will go towards that amount with the remaining being refunded.

All Set Up Fees: $10.00

A set up fee is required at the time of any occupancy change.

Customers desiring to discontinue the use of our services shall be required to give written notice to the City Office and a regular rate will be continued until such notice is give. Owners of property or their agents must give notice of change of tenants or parties responsible for water consumption or the owner shall be responsible for charges incurred for water consumption. Notice for discontinuance made after 2:00 p.m. will result in a shutoff or final reading of meter on the following workday unless an emergency exist.

This option is only available if your water is shut off and the customer must stop at the City Office and fill out paper work. With this option your monthly minimum bill will be reduced and water will not be turned back on unless the customer is there.

These are temporary meters that are available to be placed on an outside faucet that the customer will be doing lawn watering from. When the meter is removed by the city employees the sewer charges will be adjusted off the following bill according the reading on the meter. When the customer is finished watering or before the cold weather caused the meter to break, they need to notify the city that they are ready to have the meter removed for the season. If by chance the meter does break, the customer will pay $100 for the cost of the meter to Custer City.
