Community School Garden
Our Story: After a devastating flood washed away Custer’s community garden in 2019, we faced a choice: give up or grow back stronger. We chose to grow. Our dedicated garden committee searched tirelessly for a new location, ultimately finding the perfect spot on the Custer Schools campus. This partnership with the school district wasn’t just a solution; it was a new beginning.
A New Vision: Uniting Generations: We renamed our space the Custer Community-School Garden to reflect our bold new vision: to create a place where generations could connect. This garden would not only serve local gardeners but would also become a living classroom for students. For two years, we poured our hearts and souls into its design and construction, transforming a simple plot of land into a vibrant hub of community and learning.
