The City of Custer is happy to announce that the upper section of Big Rock Park Trail will undergo needed maintenance beginning on May 20th, 2024. We ask for your cooperation in this effort.
What to Expect:
Work will commence on the upper section of the Big Rock Park trail – from the Custer Mountain Road access to the Big Rock Overlook.
The lower section of the Big Rock Park trail to the Skywalk Trail Overlook will be open to the public, which the public can access either from Pageant Hill on the corner of 8th St and Canal St. or from Harbach Park.
Improved Trail: Skilled contractors will be hard at work enhancing the trail, ensuring safer and more enjoyable experiences for all users.
Minimal Disruption: The contractor will close a portion of the trail for maintenance; however, disruptions will be as minimal as possible to ensure access to other trails.
Safety First: For your safety and the safety of others, please note any temporary closure or signage indicating work areas.
